Members of the Coos County Master Gardeners Association (CCMGA) will hold their popular plant sale on Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, at the Pony Village Mall in North Bend. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. The sale will feature a wide assortment of locally grown tomato plants, including many heirloom varieties. Thousands of vegetable, herb, fruit and berry plants, all lovingly grown by CCMGA members and ready for spring planting will also be available. Annual and perennial flowers as well as native plants and groundcovers round out the botanical offerings, all designed to give local gardeners a ‘head start’ as they prepare their gardens for the upcoming season. The CCMGA is part of the Oregon State University (OSU) Extension Master Gardener Program, and all proceeds from the sale are earmarked for horticulture/agriculture scholarships, local elementary school garden grants, community garden projects and garden-related educational programs in Coos County throughout the year. Members will be on hand to answer garden and plant questions over the course of the two-day event. Cash or check only, please. Credit or debit cards will not be accepted. Sorry…
