City of Coos Bay release – The City of Coos Bay is again partnering with Bay Area Hospital and the Kid’s HOPE Center for a Family Fun Day at John Topits Park on Saturday, April 30. This free annual event encourages families to enjoy activities together. Activities include face painting, fishing, crafts, music, games and several educational opportunities for the whole family. The day begins with a one-mile run/walk at 9 a.m. (registration is at 8:30 or online at www.eventbrite.com). The other activities start at 10 a.m. and go until 2 p.m. Parking is limited, so a free shuttle and parking will be available from the Newmark Center and the National Guard Armory.
