This October, OSU Extension Family & Community Health will be offering a hybrid nutrition course (home study and in-person) designed to help reduce the burden of chronic disease in Coos and Curry Counties. It is my hope that residents will discover ways to reduce their risk factors for chronic disease using whole food. This 2 day training will be offered in two locations: Brookings on Weds (12 & 19) and Coos Bay on Saturdays (22 & 29). Trainings begin with a 2 hour orientation where students receive reading materials and assignments. Then they return for two full-day trainings on consecutive weeks. The full schedule with dates and times is included in the Applied Nutrition Brochure which I have attached. Tuition is $79. Registration deadline is Sep 30.
