Today is a Special Election Day in Oregon. Mail in ballots, not yet sent in, can still be turned in up to 8 p.m. tonight at the regular locations in the county. Do not mail your ballot, as it will not reach the courthouse in time to be counted. In Coos Co., Measure 6-166 is a bond question aimed at improving schools, classrooms and addressing safety issues such as repairs and security. The polls are officially opened until 8 p.m. tonight.
