A Central Oregon Coast male was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole in 25-years by a Lincoln County Circuit Court judge on Thursday, Feb. 9. Dean Bernal was convicted earlier of murdering 32-year old Luke McCann on the steps of his home outside of Lincoln City on Oct. 29, 2015. He was also sentenced to an additional 7.5 years for a previous crime where he reportedly shot at a vehicle full of people.
