3 Arrested in Southern Oregon Shooting, Dec. 17

On December 8th, 2015, Deputies from the Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police Troopers responded to 130 Sheraton Drive, Williams, Oregon in regards to a reported shooting at the location. The Josephine County Major Crime Response Team was activated to assume the investigation. The subsequent investigation revealed that Andrew HANING, age 33, from Williams, and Edward LINEBAUGH, age 60, from Williams, traveled to 130 Sheraton upon a request from a female acquaintance that she needed help and a ride from the residence. Haning and Linebaugh arrived at the residence armed with a firearm, the property owner, Robert BELL, age 52, from Williams, was armed with a firearm and gunfire was exchanged. Haning received a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his left arm and was treated and released at Three Rivers Medical Center. As a result of the investigation the following arrests have been made: #1 — Robert J Bell, Charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm (x2), PCS/DCS — Marijuana; #2- Andrew W Haning, Charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a weapon / Firearm; #3- Edward L Linebaugh, Charges: Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use of a weapon / Firearm.
