Salem Academy, Blanchet Catholic, Rainier and Dayton all advanced to the championship semi-final round at the OSAA U.S. Bank 3A Girl’s Basketball Tournament at North Bend High School Thursday. No. 1 Salem Academy opened with a 51-19 decision of Nyssa. Blanchet Catholic, of Salem, beat Clatskanie 48-45 in the second game setting up a semi-final championship game at noon, MHS, between Blanchet Catholic & Salem Academy. Nyssa & Clatskanie will have an early morning consolation semi-final at 8 a.m., MHS. The bottom portion of the bracket has Rainier downing Creswell 36-30, and Dayton beating Coquille 48-29. Rainier & Dayton play on the championship side at 1:45 p.m., while Creswell & Coquille meet on the consolation side at 9:45 a.m.

At the 2018 OSAA U.S. Bank/Les Schwab Tires 3A Boy’s Basketball Tournament at Marshfield High School Thursday, No. 1 De La Salle North Catholic beat Irrigon 63-26, while Blanchet Catholic beat Horizon Christian, Tualatin 48-45. Blanchet Catholic & De La Salle North Catholic takes on Blanchet Catholic at 4:15 p.m. at MHS, while Irrigon & Horizon Christian, Tualatin play in the consolation semi-final bracket at 9 a.m. at NBHS.. In the bottom bracket, Santiam Christian beat Cascade Christian 45-41, and defending champion Dayton better Oregon Episcopal 46-37. Santiam Christian and Dayton play in a championship semi-final at 6 p.m. at MHS, while Oregon Episcopal & Cascade Christian play in a consolation semi-final at 10:45 a.m. at NBHS.
