Eight girls teams, and eight boys teams are in the Bay Area ready to compete for the OSAA 3A Basketball titles. Both defending champions have returned, Blanchet Catholic for the girls and Dayton for the boys. Games begin Thursday afternoon with the championship quarter-final round. Girls at North Bend and boys at Marshfield. All of the tourney games are broadcast over the www.osaa.org website, just click on basketball and follow the links to 3A Brackets. The tournament coaches will gather tonight at the NBHS Hall of Champions for a Seafood Dinner prepared by local volunteers. The players will gather for a Hamburger Feed hosted by the North Bend Fire Dept., followed by the annual three-point shooting contest inside the NBHS gym. Championship games are set for Saturday night at MHS.
