The 3rd and Central Green Parking Lot project is currently underway in downtown Coos Bay. For this next phase of construction, the contractor will be commencing work for new curb and gutter along the West side of S. 3rd Street. This phase will require the closure of the southbound lane of S. 3rd Street between the intersections of Central Avenue and Anderson Avenue. The City has contracted with Knife River Materials for the construction of this project. It is anticipated they will begin this phase October 23rd, with a construction schedule through the second week of November. Please pardon the dust while these improvements are occurring, and we also ask that you follow all posted signage and proceed with caution when driving through any construction zone. Working hours will be 7AM-6PM Monday through Friday. On Wednesdays to minimize impacts to the Farmer’s Market, only light duty construction will occur.
