Marshfield won the 4A State Volleyball Championship 3-0 over Cascade at Springfield HS back in early November, but the post season honors were also a sweep by the Lady Pirates. As MHS celebrated the school’s first volleyball state championship with the unveiling of a banner in the rafters of the Pirate Palace Tuesday, Athletic Director Greg Mulkey announced the 4A All-State Team. Coach of the Year: Tammie Montiel; Co-Players of the Year: junior Bridget Gould & sophomore Tatum Montiel. The two were also named to the First Team. Sophomore Ava Ainsworth was named to the Second Team, and senior Kate Miles was Honorable Mention.
