CCSO release – Attached are the numbers from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center and the different agencies they serve. These are calls for service received by our call center and dispatched to individual agencies from March 1, 2023, thru March 31st, 2023. Capt. J. Patterson compiled the numbers. Police calls: Bandon Police Department-441; Bureau of Land Management-5; Coos County Sheriff’s Office-2374; Myrtle Point Police Department-163; Powers Police Department-76. Warrant Arrest, Shinglehouse Rd.
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 5, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.; Case Number(s): S23-07448; Classification: Warrant Arrest; Location: Hwy 101 / Shinglehouse Road; Suspect(s): Jacob Ketchum (29); Deputy observes & arrests wanted subject while assisting with tire change on U.S. Hwy 101. On April 5th, 2023, Deputy Z. Smith from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Shinglehouse Road and Highway 101 to assist a motorist with a tire change. While at the location, Deputy Z. Smith recognized Jacob Ketchum walking in the area whom he knew from previous contacts. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center advised that Mr. Ketchum had an active felony warrant for his arrest. Mr. Ketchum was arrested on the warrant and transported to Coos County Jail, where he was booked and is currently in custody. The tire change was completed without incident.
Warrant Arrest, South of Bandon
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 5, 2023 at 6:00 p.m.; Case Number(s): S23-07448; Classification: Warrant Arrest; Location: South of Bandon, Coos County, Oregon; Suspect(s): Jonathan H. Pulse (29); Man arrested on a warrant out of Humboldt County, California, after deputies received a tip on location. On April 5th, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. Humboldt County, California, requested assistance locating a wanted subject, presumably in Coos County. Deputies Z. Smith and S. Starr responded to a residence south of Bandon where it was reported that the wanted subject was staying. At the residence, Deputies located Jonathan H. Pulse (29), who had an active warrant for his arrest out of Humboldt County, California. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center confirmed the warrant, and Mr. Pulse was placed under arrest. Jonathan H. Pulse was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody pending extradition to Humboldt County, California.
