Bill Bradbury, April 17

We lost a friend Friday. Bill Bradbury, 73, Bandon, passed away due to medical complications. He battled multiple sclerosis for more than 40-years but still forged a stellar political career that led to the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office and a run for Governor. He actually started as a TV reporter/news anchor in Coos Bay. Gifted with a wide smile, and a deep interest in others, Bradbury began his political run as a State Representative representing Coos County and parts of northern Curry County. He later represented the region as it’s State Senator and eventually became Senate President. Bradbury stood tall for our environment and campaigned hard for rural coastal Oregonians. He was married to Katy Eymann, daughter of former Oregon Speaker of the House Richard Eymann, for 36-years. A Celebration of Life will be held later.
