Marshfield’s softball team beat Marist Catholic Tuesday, 11-10 in a 4A District 4 game at Eugene. The second-place Lady Pirates (8-2, 16-6) will host first-place North Bend (9-1, 12-8) on Friday at Coos Head Field, Coos Bay. The Bulldogs had the bye on Tuesday.

Marshfield dropped a pair of 4A District 4 baseball games at Marist Catholic Tuesday. The first game was a continuation of a game rained out earlier in Coos Bay. The league-leading Spartans (9-1, 18-3) finished it with an 18-4 win. Marist Catholic also won the second game, 8-4. Marshfield (1-9, 6-14) will end the regular season Friday at home against Bay Area Rival, and second-place, North Bend (7-3, 11-8) which had a bye Tuesday.
