Quakes, May 17

A 3.0-magnitude earthquake shook the southern junction of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast Tuesday, May 16. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake was located west of Petrolia, CA near Cape Mendocino in Northern California. Two more quakes were recorded on the same fault line but far north. A 3.9-magnitude and a 3.8-magnitude were both recorded east to southeast of Yakutat, AK.
