Warrant Arrest, Barview
CCSO release – Date / Time: May 15th, 2023 at 6:52 a.m.; Case Number(s): S23-10927; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Capitol Drive, (Barview); Suspect(s): Krysta Guptill (29). Report of a woman screaming in Barview leads to warrant arrest. On May 15th, 2023 at 6:52 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a woman screaming on Capitol Drive in Barview. Deputy Z. Smith responded to the scene and contacted multiple individuals on the property, who reported that everything was fine. While at the location, Deputy Z. Smith recognized one of the women as Krysta Guptill (29), whom Deputy Z. Smith knew about an active warrant for her arrest.  Dispatch confirmed the active warrant for Krysta Guptill, and she was arrested. Krysta was transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and remains in custody.

Domestic Assault, Cape Arago Hwy.
CCSO release – Date / Time: May 15th, 2023 at 2:08 a.m.; Case Number(s): S23-10816; Classification: Domestic Assault IV; Location: Cape Arago Hwy, (Charleston); Suspect(s): Michael J. Neel (41). Man arrested in Charleston after report of a domestic disturbance. On May 15th, 2023, at 2:08 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call of a disturbance in progress located off Cape Arago Hwy. Deputy R. Baker responded and contacted the victim, stating she had been physically assaulted but did not need medical attention. The suspect was identified as Michael J. Neel (41). Mr. Neel had left the location before Deputy R. Baker’s arrival. After an investigation, probable cause was issued for the arrest of Mr. Neel on the charge of domestic assault IV. At 6:30 p.m. Deputy R. Baker responded to the Portside Restaurant to attempt to locate Michael Neel. Mr. Neel was at the location and spoke with Deputy Baker. After an investigation, Mr. Neel was arrested on the charge of domestic assault IV, stemming from the incident that morning. Michael J. Neel (41) was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and remains in custody.
