Southwestern Oregon’s softball team won the 2023 NWAC Championship with four-straight wins in the season-ending tournament at Delta Parks, Portland, Saturday. The Lakers started Thursday with an 8-0 win over Centralia in the first round, followed by a 4-0 win over Columbia Basin in the quarter-finals. On Friday, SWOCC downed No. 3 North Idaho 4-0 in the semi-finals, and then completed the sweep of no-opponent runs on Saturday over No. 4 Clackamas 2-0 for the NWAC Championship. Southwestern Oregon finished the season 47-3.
