Firearm Seized, near Sunset Beach
CCSO release – Date / Time: June 9, 2023, at 11:16 a.m.; Case Number(s): S23-13131; Classification: Probation Violation / Felon in Possession of a Firearm / Warrant Arrest; Location: Cape Arago Hwy near Sunset Beach; Suspect(s): Brunner, Adam J. (39); Real, Ashley M. (38). Coos Bay couple arrested for being in possession of a shotgun after probation officers complete compliance check. On June 9th, 2023, at 11:16 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a call for assistance from two Coos County Probation Officers conducting a compliance check at a residence on Cape Arago Hwy near Sunset Beach. Officers Davis and Webley relayed that Adam J. Brunner (39) of Coos Bay was hiding inside a trailer, possibly armed with a shotgun. A second person, Ashley M. Real (38) of Coos Bay, was also at the location. Sgt. Slater from the Coos County Sheriff’s Office and Officers from the Oregon State Police, Coquille Tribal Police Department, and CLUSI Tribal Police Department responded to assist. Officers on the scene were able to enter the trailer, recover the shotgun and take Adam J. Brunner into custody without incident. The shotgun was within reach of Mr. Brunner during his arrest. After Sgt. Slater’s investigation, Ashley M. Real (38), was arrested on a probation violation and felon in possession of a firearm. Adam J. Brunner (39) was arrested on several outstanding warrants and felon in possession of a firearm. Ashley and Adam were transported to the Coos County Jail where both were booked and are currently in custody. The weapon was seized from the location and logged into evidence at the Coos County Sheriff’s Office.

Warrant Arrest, Coos Bay
CCSO release – Date / Time: June 10th, 2023, around 5:10 pm; Case Number(s): S23-12349; Classification: Warrant Service; Location: Terrace Motel, Coos Bay; Suspect(s): Jessica Farrell (38). Coos County Woman arrested at a local motel on multiple warrants. On June 10th, 2023, around 5:10 pm, Patrol Deputy B. Davis, while working directly with a Coos County Parole and Probation Officer, observed Jessica Farrell (38) of Coos County on the property of Terrace Motel in Coos Bay. The Parole and Probation Officer advised Deputy Davis that Ms. Farrell was wanted for absconding on her Probation. Ms. Farrell is on Probation for Possession of Methamphetamine and has been non-compliant with her Probation Officer resulting in an active warrant for her arrest. Deputy Davis confirmed Ms. Farrell’s abscond and warrant status, as well as an additional warrant for her arrest out of Lane County. Deputy Davis pulled into the motel’s parking lot and contacted Ms. Farrell. Ms. Farrell was advised that she was under arrest and was taken into custody without incident. Ms. Farrell was transported to the Coos County Jail, where she was booked and lodged for the Probation warrant and the warrant out of Lane County. Upon resolving Ms. Farrell’s local Probation Violation, she will be transported to Lane County to resolve her warrant.
