ODFW release – The Central Coast subarea (Cape Falcon to Humbug Mountain) all-depth halibut fishing will be open for the back-up weeks of July 10-16 and July 24-30. The nearshore halibut season began on July 1, and will remain open until October 31 or quota is attained. During days open to all-depth halibut fishing and nearshore halibut fishing, all-depth halibut rules and regulations apply. The daily bag limit for halibut in the Central Coast and Southern Oregon subareas is 2-halibut per angler for the remainder of the year. The summer all-depth halibut season will begin August 3.
