City of Coos Bay release – Temporary Parking Lot Closure: Near Curtis – The City of Coos Bay contracted with Coastal Pavement Maintenance, Inc. to perform parking lot maintenance. The shaded parking lots located between S. Second Court and S. Third Street adjacent to Curtis Avenue will close the evening of October 4 so crews can start work on October 5. The project will include sealing and restriping of the parking lot. The parking lot will be closed for public access until October 6, 2023, due to the curing process. Please do not park in this area. It is anticipated that the other halves of the parking lots will be completed next week. Temporary Parking Lot Closure: Near Anderson – The City of Coos Bay contracted with Coastal Pavement Maintenance Inc. to perform parking lot maintenance. The parking lot on the north side of Anderson between both Bayshore Drive and S. Broadway Street will close the evening of October 4 so crews can start work on October 6. The project will include sealing and restriping of the parking lot. The parking lot will be closed for public access until October 6, 2023, due to the curing process. Please do not park in this area. Storm System Cleaning on North Tenth Street – On Thursday, October 5, City staff will be cleaning the storm system near Mingus Park on North Tenth Street. Flaggers will be on site and traffic will be reduced to one lane. Work will start at 8:30 a.m. and end no later than 5:30 p.m. Work will continue through Friday, October 6. The crosswalk to Mingus Park will remain open. Pedestrians are asked to exercise extreme caution when crossing the street near the work zone.
