On Monday November 13, 2023 the City of Coos Bay received a citizen concern regarding liquid coming up on the Millicoma Marsh Trail system. Crews mobilized immediately and determined that the force main has a leak. Utilization of this force main has been turned off until the leak is fixed. This overflow has been contained but approximately less than 10 gallons discharged from this location but did not enter any waterway prior to being cleaned up by the City. Oregon Department of Environmental Quality and the Oregon Emergency Response System, were notified of the incident. At this time the trail has been closed for this repair.
