Unfortunately, the rescue attempt on a female green turtle, found washed ashore on a North Oregon Coast Beach, was not successful. Dubbed “Squirt” the young female died while in care at Oregon Coast Aquarium. Like other endangered green sea turtles off the California Coast, this one most likely caught a warm ocean current north and then it dissipated leaving the turtle stranded in colder waters.
