TRAFFIC UPDATE – 4:04p, 1/17/24 – I-5 NB, MP 185: Crews will close one northbound lane 2 miles north of Creswell from 7 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday while utility crews repair downed power lines. Watch for intermittent rolling slowdowns on Thursday as crews continue repairs. Use caution; expect congestion and delays. Check TripCheck.com for updates. OR-126 W, MP 14-40: Florence-Eugene Highway (OR-126 W) will remain closed overnight between mile points 14 and 40 due to downed trees and utility lines. The closure is estimated to last into Thursday afternoon (subject to change). Use an alternate route or postpone travel. US-20, MP 31-71: Santiam Highway (US-20) has reopened between Sweet Home and the intersection with OR-126 on Wednesday evening. The road was closed today due to downed trees. OR-36, MP 11-39: Mapleton-Junction City Highway (OR-36) remains closed between mile points 11 and 39 due to downed trees. Use an alternate route. OR-99, MP 11-12: OR-99 remains closed just north of the intersection with E. Saginaw Rd. due to downed trees. Use an alternate route. As temperatures rise and ice and snow melt, be prepared for slippery roads. More downed trees and utility lines are possible throughout the region. Use caution and expect delays and closures.
