UPDATE: The southbound on-ramp to Interstate 5 at the Aurora-Donald Interchange may be closed for several hours due to a crash. The closure could last into the Friday morning commute hours. Please use another route and drive with caution. Elsewhere in northwest Oregon: OR 126 is back open in both directions east of Eugene after being closed for several days due to down trees and powerlines. The roadway is clear, but not cleaned up. Please slow down and drive with caution through this area as vegetation is still along the side of the road and crews will continue to work in the area for weeks to come. OR 36 milepost 11 to 36, east of Swisshome to Triangle Lake remains closed. OR 99 remains closed at milepost 11.5, just north of the intersection with E. Saginaw Road, due to downed trees and utility lines. Expect rolling slowdowns or delays to commence again tomorrow around 3 pm in both directions on Interstate 5 around milepost 185, about halfway between Goshen and Creswell, as we assist utility crews in restoring seven downed power lines. If you must travel, please check weather forecasts and Tripcheck.com before you go, carry tire chains, go slowly, and watch for winter road crews.
