On February 14, 2024, at 6:52 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a single-vehicle crash down an embankment on Collver Lane, southeast of Coos Bay. Millington Fire Personnel, Bay Cities Ambulance, and Sgt. A. Slater from the Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The single occupant, Kaya D. Belani (22), was transported to Bay Area Hospital for observation. As a result of an investigation, Kaya D. Belani was issued criminal citations for Driving While Suspended Misdemeanor and Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicates at Bay Area Hospital.
