Davis (44). Female arrested in Lakeside after stealing pick-up truck. On April 13th, 2024, at 8:26 a.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a report of a stolen vehicle from Jacobson Way in Lakeside. Deputy S. Starr responded to the area to take the report. During the investigation, a suspect was identified as Sarah B. Davis (44). While in Lakeside, Deputy S. Starr located the stolen vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on it. Sarah B. Davis was inside the vehicle and arrested on the charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. The pick-up was returned to its owner. Sarah B. Davis (44) was transported to the Coos County Jail on the Unlawful Use of a
Motor Vehicle.
DUII, Hwy. 42
CCSO release – Date / Time: April 16th, 8:45 p.m.; Case Number(s): 2024-00008903; Classification: Warrant Arrest / DUII; Location: Hwy 42 / milepost 7; Suspect(s): Casey E. Jackson (38); Driving complaint results in a male’s arrest on DUII and an outstanding warrant. On April 16, 2024, at 8:45 p.m., the Coos County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call reporting a vehicle driving recklessly on Hwy 42 near mile marker 7, specifically swerving across lanes and exceeding the speed limit. Sgt. J. Boswell, who happened to be in the area, spotted the vehicle and observed it continuing to drive erratically. He promptly initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle near the Coaledo Scales. Upon approaching the driver’s side, he identified the driver as Casey E. Jackson, a 38-year-old resident of Coos Bay. Mr. Jackson exhibited signs of impairment, and after an investigation, Mr. Jackson was arrested for DUII and a valid warrant for his arrest out of Lane County for Hit and Run Property Damage. Mr. Jackson was transported to the Coos County Jail, where he was booked and later released on citation for DUII and ROR’d for a new court date regarding the Lane County Case. Mr. Jackson is also being referred to the District Attorney’s Office for Reckless Driving and Reckless Endangerment.
Increasing Jail Capacity, Coquille
CCSO release – Coos County Jail is doubling its capacity to 98 beds on April 27th at 8:00 a.m. This expansion, is a significant milestone, which will enable us to better serve our community and contribute to a safer Coos County. Since Sheriff Fabrizio’s election, he and his command staff have tirelessly worked to rehire Corrections and Patrol Deputies who were lost to attrition, retirements, and better-paying departments. This collective effort is a testament to their dedication and the value they place on public safety. Since the beginning of 2023, the Sheriff’s Office has rehired 27% of overall staff, and these deputies have been fully trained, allowing the Coos County Jail to double its capacity from 49 beds to 98 beds on April 27th at 8:00 a.m. The Coos County Sheriff’s Office is excited about adding this additional jail space, which will assist the Sheriff’s Office and local law enforcement agencies in combating crime within Coos County and beyond.
