On May 2nd, 2024, around 6:33 pm, Coos County Dispatch received a third-party report of a domestic assault taking place at a residence on Martin Drive in Coos Bay. Deputy A. Burgo and Deputy J. Gray responded to investigate. Upon their arrival, Deputies Burgo and Gray collected facts and spoke with all involved parties. As a result of the investigation, Wayne Wood (68) was arrested for Assault 4 domestic. Wood was transported to the Coos County Jail where he remains in custody without bail, pending his arraignment
