Juneteenth Celebration and Block Party: African Showcase with Gansango, Wednesday, June 19 in front of Coos Bay City Hall, 5:00pm – 6:00pm, Travel to Africa to celebrate Juneteenth at a community-wide block party sponsored by the South Coast Equity Coalition! Teaching artists from Gansango Music & Dance Company perform music and dance from West Africa. This interactive performance will entertain and educate, blending contemporary and traditional dance with drumming, song and audience participation. Bring a lawn chair and a blanket to enjoy the outdoor show across the street from Coos Bay City Hall and in front of Black Market Gourmet.
