The northern end of the two fault lines that run parallel with the Oregon Coast was rocked again by a series of earthquakes, Thursday, July 11. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the largest was a 6.4-magnitude quake west to southwest of Tofino, Canada, off of Vancouver Island. Three other quakes measured 4.7, 4.8 (7/12), and 5.4. The outer fault line also shook to the south. A 3.1-magnitude quake was recorded west of Ferndale, CA, near Cape Mendocino in Northern California.
