North Bend’s JV football team beat Marist in Eugene Thursday night 40-20. The Pups are now 3-0 heading in to conference play.

Marshfield beat South Umpqua 6-0 in a boy’s soccer match Thursday night at Myrtle Ck.
Prep fb
Both North Bend and Marshfield won their final preseason prep football games Friday night at home. The Bulldogs downed Marist at Vic Adams Field 47-7 to go to 3-0 on the season. The Pirates beat Newport 34-28 at Pete Susick Stadium to improve to 2-1. North Bend will host Douglas (0-3) to open Far West League play next Friday, while Marshfield travels to Brookings-Harbor (0-3). Siuslaw (3-0) plays at So. Umpqua (2-1) in the other FWL opener.
