News release from the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. On October 2nd, 2014 at approximately 10:41am the Coos County Sheriff’s Office, along with Lakeside Fire and Rescue responded to the Spinreel campground for a reported ATV accident. Upon arrival 58-year-old Rodney Sherburne from CLATSKANIE Oregon was contacted. Mr. Sherburne was complaining of left shoulder pain due to being thrown off his quad. Mr. Sherburne’s family brought him off the sand. Mr. Sherburne was transported to Bay Area Hospital by Bay Cities Ambulance.
