Please join Oregon Coast Culinary Institute for our Second Annual Oktoberfest. We will feature traditional German food in a festive setting. November 8, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Price is $30 per person. Seats are by reservation only. The gourmet menu will include a Cold Table: Landjäger, BeerWurst, Head Cheese, Blood and Tongue Sausage, Liverwurst Ring, Bavarian Loaf, Mortadella, Thüringer, Leberwurst, Smoked Salmon, Smoked Shrimp, Smoked Mussels, Smoked Trout, Smoked Smelt, Assorted Breads, Assorted House-Made Mustards and Pickled Vegetables, German Cheeses: Cambozola, Limburger, Tilsit, and Rauchkäse. There will be several Action Stations: Bavarian Pretzel Station with Beer Cheese Sauce. Schweine Schnitzel: 2 oz. Pork Loin Cutlets, Breaded and Pan Fried to order, sautéed in beef fat and clarified butter, served with lemon and chopped parsley. German Bockwurst grilled to order with mustards and crusty baguette with house-made kraut and caramelized onions. Cured Crispy Schweine Braten: Roast Pork Belly served with Bavarian Red Cabbage and Potato Dumpling. The Vegetable and Salad Table will include: Warm German Potato Salad, House-Made Sauerkraut, Root Celery with Horseradish and Chives, Green Bean Salad, Carrot Salad, Golden Beet Salad, Wild Mushroom Salad. For dessert we’ll be offering: Black Forest Cake, Sacher Torte, Streussel Kuchen, Apfel Strudel with “mit Schlag”, Berliner with Red Currant Jam, Forest Berry Tarts with Bavarian Cream, Strassburger Cookies, Candy, Bee Sting Cake, and Linzer Tart.
