Woolsey First Team
Marshfield junior Hailee Woolsey, an All Tournament volleyball selection and Far West League Player of the Year, has been named First Team All-State for the 4A classification. Woolsey is one of two juniors on the First Team. Megan Bunn of Banks also made the All State team a year ago. The All State teams are selected by the 4A coaches.

North Bend fell to Gladstone 35-17 in the title game for the OSAA 4A classification this year at a cold Hillsboro Stadium Saturday night. The Gladiators (12-0) were the No. 1 ranked team going into the playoffs and the Bulldogs (11-1) the No. 2. Handsome Smith led Gladstone with four touchdowns and rushed 21-times for 212-yards. The Gladiators totaled 379 on the ground, while North Bend had 150. The Bulldogs threw for 250-yards, and Gladstone 81. Total yards favored the Gladiators 456 to 395. Other champions were crowned Saturday. Hermiston won the 5A title over Silverton, 34-12; Vale won the 3A crown, 45-19, over Harrisburg; Burns took the 2A championship, 49-0 over Heppner; and, Adrian won the eight-man title, 46-28 over Sherman. Central Catholic and Tigard meet for the 6A championship Saturday, Dec. 6, 1 p.m., at Hillsboro Stadium.
