Transitional Education and GED Orientations scheduled for Winter Term, Dec. 9

The Transitional Education Department, a college and career preparation program at Southwestern Oregon Community College, will be offering GED exam preparation, college and career preparation and college placement test preparation for winter term. Students can build a pipeline to enter college, training programs and jobs in high-demand career areas. Orientation is scheduled for January 2nd from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm in Tioga Hall, 3rd floor, on the Coos Bay Campus. All new students must call 541-888-1593 to sign up for orientation for the term. GED classes will be held Monday – Thursday between 9:30 am and 3:00 pm, based on individual schedules. Transitional Education hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also offer GED classes in Port Orford, Gold Beach, and Online. The cost per term is $50. Winter term 2015: January 5th – March 20th 2015.
