A new starting lineup helped the Oregon men’s basketball team buck its recent trend of slow starts, and the Ducks led wire-to-wire in an 83-70 victory over Delaware State before 5,530 in Matthew Knight Arena on Saturday. The Ducks have a quick turnaround before hosting UC Santa Barbara on Monday in Matthew Knight Arena (6 p.m., Pac-12 Networks).

The Oregon women’s basketball team rallied back from a 15-point deficit to tie it in the second half, but couldn’t finish off the comeback in a 68-59 loss to Fresno State on Sunday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Ducks and dropped them to 6-4 on the season. Fresno State improved to 8-3. The Ducks return to Matthew Knight Arena on Dec. 29 for a game against Seattle U. The contest is the Ducks’ final non-conference game of the year. Oregon opens Pac-12 play on Jan. 3 at USC.

The Oregon State women’s basketball team got 45 points off the bench, as the Beavers cruised to a 73-50 victory over Nevada Saturday evening in New Orleans. The victory extends the Beavers’ undefeated start to 10 games, with all of those wins coming by double-digits. The Beavers will now have an over a week off, as they return to action on Dec. 28 against Tennessee in Knoxville.

Junior forward Olaf Schaftenaar scored a team-high 18 points and six rebounds but Oregon State fell 60-52 to Quinnipiac on Sunday at the TD Bank Sports Center, snapping a five-game winning streak. Sophomore guard Malcolm Duvivier added 10 points and four assists for the Beavers (8-3) in their first-ever game in Connecticut. Junior center Daniel Gomis had seven points and seven rebounds and junior guard Langston Morris-Walker added seven points. The Beavers host UC Santa Barbara at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 30 at Gill Coliseum in their next game. The game will be televised by Pac-12 Networks.
