The first month of the 2014-15 Oregon Commercial Dungeness Crab Season produced less landings than the previous year. According to a report, just under six-million lbs. (valued at more than $21 million) of crab were landed during the first month. That compares with 11.2 million lbs. (valued at $32.9m) landed during the first month of last season. The commercial crab season runs into August; however, the “Lion’s Share” is normally landed during the first two months, December and January.
