Oregon Track and Field Senior Sam Crouser was named the USTFCCCA’s National Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, Tuesday. Throwing at USC’s Trojan Invitational, Crouser launched the spear 78.94 meters (259-0) for his outdoor debut and fifth straight javelin win. The mark would have been the best throw in the entire NCAA last year, setting up Crouser well for a title defense. The Ducks will not be competing this weekend but will host Fan Fest, Saturday March 28th beginning at 10 a.m. at Historic Hayward Field. For more information, go to www.goducks.com/TFFanfest
