Oregon State Police (OSP) is continuing the investigation into the cause of Monday morning’s fatal traffic crash that occurred on Highway 20 east of Eddyville in Lincoln County. The crash resulted in the death of a Springfield-area man. According to Lieutenant Justin McGladrey, on April 6, 2015, at approximately 12:07 a.m., a 2000 Dodge Durango sport utility vehicle, driven by IVAN SANDRIA CRUZ, age 24 from Newport, was westbound on Highway 20 near milepost 28. A 1995 Honda Accord station wagon being driven by ANDREW RAYMOND KOLOSKI, age 35, from Springfield, was eastbound at the same location. The cause of the crash is still under investigation however, it is known that the vehicles collided nearly head-on. KOLOSKI was pronounced deceased at the scene. SANDRIA CRUZ and a juvenile 7-year-old male passenger were transported by ground ambulance to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis where CRUZ is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injures. The juvenile passenger was treated and released from the hospital.
