Oregon jumped on Portland with two runs in the first and added three more in the sixth and then held off a late Pilots rally to claim a 5-2 win at Joe Etzel Field on Wednesday. The Ducks (22-16) won the season series with Portland 3-1, including a sweep of two games in Portland (7-32) the last two weeks. The Ducks return to Pac-12 play this weekend when they travel to Southern California to play No. 10 USC in a three-game series starting Friday.

The Oregon State baseball team’s game with Portland in Keizer, Ore., has been re-adjusted to May 13, and will start at 6:05 p.m. PT. Fans with tickets to Tuesday’s rained out game are encouraged to hold on to them for use on the 13th. If you haven’t purchased tickets, visit volcanoestickets.com.
