A 36-year old Polk Co. woman, who allegedly kidnapped her mother at gunpoint, bound her to a chair with duct tape and stole her belongings, was arrested Friday, May 8, near Coquille. Maura Olsson’s mother was found calling for help on Thursday from a Dallas home. Her daughter reportedly stole $1,000 from her and took her cellphone and a 1997 Toyota Camry. She was taken into custody about 2:30 p.m.by the Oregon State Police and deputies for the Coos Co. Sheriff’s Office. Olsson was transported to the Coos Co. Jail on charges of Kidnapping, Robbery, Theft, Menacing and firearm charges.
