According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for early Friday, Dec. 20, 4:43 a.m., 600 block Maryland St., “RP advised boyfriend caught 2 subjects breaking into their residence through the back sliding door. 2 subjects wearing all black and ski masks, subjects were short.”
Probation Violation
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Thursday, Dec. 19, 3:58 p.m., 2400 block Broadway Ave., “officer out with subject at location,” 53-year old Jed Parks arrested on Probation Violation charge and transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Assault
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Friday, Dec. 20, 4:54 p.m., 3500 block Ash St., “boyfriend assaulted RP and then left with the kids.” Twenty-seven year old Steven A. Koechel, North Bend, arrested on charges of Assault IV Domestic Felony and Strangulation. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Fighting at the Casino
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Dec. 21, 8:41 p.m., 3201 Tremont Ave., “Casino Security advised 2 male subjects in a fight with Security in Valet Parking Area.” Thirty-five year old Christopher Lee Sharp, Reedsport, charged with Disorderly Conduct, Interfering with Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest. He was transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille. Twenty-nine year old Christopher William Jones, Coos Bay, cited in lieu of custody for Criminal Trespass II. “Both subjects are permanently trespassed from Casino property.”
Assault IV
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Dec. 21, 5:22 p.m., “follow up,” 42-year old Eric D. Ekblad arrested CBPD on NBPD Probable Cause for Assault IV Domestic. Transported to the Coos Co. Jail at Coquille.
Burglaries
According to an entry on the North Bend Police log for Saturday, Dec. 21, 4:57 p.m., 1800 block Maple St., “RP reports he arrived home and discovered someone has burglarized his residence.” At 4:42 a.m., 500 block State St., “RP returned home and found her door kicked in. Gun safe and other property has been taken.” At 9:39 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, 500 block Clark St., “possible blue/grey 80’s hatchback dropped off a large box at residence, husband went out to confront subjects and they left in the vehicle. Officers responded, located green Sentry gun safe. Officers retrieved property for safekeeping.”
