Blunt Force Trauma, July 6

An autopsy was held Friday, July 3, on the body of a 49-year old homicide victim found on the tidal flats west of the City of Coos Bay’s Empire Waste Water Treatment Plant early Sunday morning, June 28. According to Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, Forest Franklin Martin “died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and face.” Two individuals have arrested and charged with Murder in the case. They are Sean Yamate and Christopher Gonzales. Both are being held in the county jail at Coquille under a bail of $2 million each. Their next court appearance is scheduled for August 7, 8:30 a.m.
