Coos Elderly Services, Aug. 13

The Staff at Coos Elderly Services would like to express their gratitude for the generosity and support the agency has received over the years from the community. Together we have been able to keep many vulnerable South Coast citizens safe and financially secure for over 24 years now. As we are preparing to celebrate our 25 years of service, we need your help once again. With the rainy season approaching rapidly and our building on South 2nd Street in Coos Bay standing still stripped of the old awnings, we are getting very concerned about the comfort and safety of our daily visitors. The staff of Coos Elderly Services see around 100 people weekly. Staying true to our mission statement of promoting the dignity and security of the vulnerable people of our community ensuring their visit to the agency is safe and comfortable. Our building needs new awnings and time is running out. While multiple grant applications are in the works, in hopes to raise additional funds, Coos Elderly Services is raffling off a beautiful cedar bench hand-crafted and donated by a local craftsman from Coos Bay Habitat for Humanity Re-sale Store. The lemon cypress shrubs donated by 3B’s Nursery complete the look making the bench a wonderful addition to a home or a business. The raffle will take place on August 21st. Raffle tickets are available at 390 S. 2nd Street in Coos Bay. The cost is 1 ticket for $5 or 5 for $20. We are willing to come to you if you prefer! For more information, please call 541-756-1202. Win the bench! Make a difference!
