Marshfield’s volleyball team opened the 2015 fall prep season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-4, 25-8) win over visiting Newport Thursday night in Coos Bay. The Lady Pirates’ JV team also won 2-1 (25-11, 16-25, 15-4).
NBHS vb
North Bend’s volleyball team (0-2) fell 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-21) at Coquille Thursday night.
FWL vb
Far West League volleyball teams struggled Thursday night. North Valley won at So. Umpqua (1-1) 3-0, Del Norte won at Brookings-Harbor (0-2) 3-0, and Douglas (1-1) lost at home to Hidden Valley 3-0. Siuslaw (2-0) had the night off.
