Small Business Development Center reduces price on Skills to Prosper Course, Sept. 18

Southwestern Oregon Community College’s Small Business Development Center (Southwestern SBDC) is offering a training series at a reduced rate that focuses on tools to build, repair & maintain a profitable business. The Skills to Prosper unique format includes nine monthly 3-hour training sessions offered by the Southwestern Small Business Development Center. Each session will feature discussion of a business book and application of specific business tools. Entrepreneurs will focus their success priorities each month and create an action plan. Thanks to generous support from Evergreen Business Capital and the Ford Family Foundation, the Southwestern SBDC was able to reduce the price for this dynamic training from $600 to $300 this time only. In addition to the nine weeks of training, each participating business will receive individual business advising with one of the SBDC’s qualified advisors. This training series offers an incredible networking opportunity for local business owners. In the Skills to Prosper program business owners will learn about: Company Vision and Core Values, Hiring Considerations, Management Style, Tracking Profits, Negotiation, Integrity, and Planning for the Future. A fee of $300 per person will be charged. Through generous support by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, chamber members pay only $240. Tribal businesses also receive the discounted pricing. Seating is very limited. Preregistration at www.BizCenter.org is required to insure seating availability and materials. The workshop will be held in North Bend at The Business Center, 2455 Maple Leaf, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm on the 3rd Thursday each month, October 15, 2015 through June 16, 2016.
