Tax Evading Coquille Couple Arrested, Oct. 7

A Coquille couple, who believes the government has no authority to collect taxes from them, have been arrested in Arizona by federal marshals after fleeing the state last April following their conviction to defraud the United States of $1.2 million through tax evasion. Ronald and Dorothea Joling did not appear in court in Eugene for their sentencing when they fled. They were arrested in Clarkdale, AZ and lodged in the Coconino Co. Detention Facility. Ronald Joling is the pastor of the Hope Covenant Reformed Church of Coquille and the two own the Myrtle Lane Motel.
