State of the Coast at SWOCC, Oct. 14

The one-day “State of the Coast” conference will be held Saturday, Oct. 24, in the Hales Center for the Performing Arts on the campus of Southwestern Oregon Community College in Coos Bay. The event is organized by Oregon Sea Grant. “State of the Coast is a coastal conference where everybody from scientists to industries to citizens can learn, network, and engage in the current and future state of Oregon’s marine environment.” The keynote speaker will be Dr. Wallace “J.” Nichols who will talk about the research behind his book: Blue Mind: The Surprising Science That Show How Being Near, In, On or Under Water Can Make You Happier, Healthier, More Connected and Better at What You Do.
