Coos Bay Police surrounded a home in the Englewood area Wednesday morning, Nov. 4, where a suspect in the shooting death of a Coos Bay man early Tuesday morning had been located following a tip. Twenty-seven year old Kyle Sun Ray gave himself up at the residence on Southwest Blvd. about 10 a.m. Coos Co. District Attorney R. Paul Frasier filed formal charges of Murder and Felon in Possession of a Firearm in Circuit Court against Ray. The body of 54-year old David Marion Smith was located in a home on the 1100 block of California Ave. Police say he had been shot.
