Robbery at Rice Hill, Nov. 24

On November 13th, 2015, at around 0400 hours, Douglas County Communications received a report of a robbery at the Adult Shop located at 726 John Long Road in Rice Hill. It was reported that a male came into the business in a disguise. The suspect used a stun gun on the employee and then took an undisclosed amount of cash. The store employee was able to escape during the robbery and called 911. The suspect escaped the area and was not located. Early into the investigation Sheriff’s Office Detectives developed a suspect, who was a former employee of the business. On November 16th, 2015, a search warrant was served at the suspect’s residence in Roseburg. The suspect, 18 year old Alexander James Wilson, of Roseburg, was not home at the time of the warrant. Detectives who served the warrant recovered evidence at the residence which linked Wilson to the robbery. Detectives learned Wilson had left Oregon and he was believed to be in Idaho. On November 21st, 2015, Wilson was arrested in Post Falls, Idaho. He is facing charges of Robbery II, Theft II, Unlawful Use of a Stun Gun, and Assault IV. It is expected Wilson will return to Oregon to face the charges after the extradition process. His arrival to Douglas County is unknown.
