Whew, the storms that ravaged the Pacific Northwest with high winds and heavy rains, just missed Oregon’s Bay Area. There were trees that fell, power lines that came down and some outages, but overall, Coos and Curry counties did not experience what the rest of the Coast got. Governor Kate Brown has declared a State of Emergency for Lane, Lincoln, Tillamook and Clatsop counties along the Coast, but also Columbia, Clackamas, Benton, Marion, Linn, Washington and Yamhill counties. Flooding, landslides and road closures were reported in the 13 counties. Some residents had to evacuate their homes. There have been two storm related deaths.
