Transitional Education and GED Orientations Scheduled for Winter Term 2016, Dec. 11

The Transitional Education Department, a college and career preparation program at Southwestern Oregon Community College, will be offering GED exam preparation, adult basic education, college and career preparation, college placement test preparation and English Language Acquisition courses winter term. Students can build a pipeline to enter college, training programs and jobs in high-demand career areas. Orientation is scheduled for January 4, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in Tioga Hall, 3rd floor, on the Coos Bay Campus, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. All new students can call 541-888-1593 or stop in to sign up for orientation for the term. Lunch will be provided for enrolled students. ABE/GED Classes: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-2:00pm; M, T, W 6:00pm-8:00pm. ESL Classes: Monday – Thursday 9:00am-12:00pm; M, T, W 6:00pm-8:00pm. Winter Term 2016: January 4, 2016 – March 17, 2016.
